I am a licensed clinical social worker in Austin, Texas. Therapy is a collaborative exploration that requires both curiosity and trust. As a psychoanalytically trained psychotherapist, I incorporate relational and interpersonal therapy along with mindfulness techniques in order to create a safe space and working alliance. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, sexual identity, past trauma, disordered eating and body image issues, as well as chronic illness. My experience includes working with LGBTQ teens in the NYC foster care system, elderly clients in an outpatient community mental health clinic, providing individual psychotherapy at a college counseling center, as well as coordinating the adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program at an eating disorder center in Austin and facilitating a weekly parent support group. I work with clients to examine barriers to growth, difficulty with transitions, and overcoming fears to create lasting change.
