Jenna Weitz, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker
(she/her/hers)

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and Illinois, working with adults and adolescents. My experience includes working as an individual therapist in the intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization levels of care, treating people with eating disorders, with eating disorders being my primary specialization. I also have experience treating people with substance use disorders, mood disorders, trauma, OCD. I seek to provide my clients with a safe space to allow them to deal with uncomfortable emotions in a compassionate and empathic environment. I operate from a psychoanalytic perspective, pulling from past experiences to help clients understand how they are responding to current emotional experiences and gain insight into behavioral patterns. Additionally, I utilize principles from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Exposure Therapy to help provide clients with a framework to heal by replacing unhealthy coping mechanism with healthy ones. I believe that therapy is collaborative, and I strive to meet patients where they are at. As a therapist, I believe that maladaptive behaviors, like eating disorders, can be healed by having a safe space to experience discomfort and working with a trained therapist.
